Judi Dubs
Judi has been a bookkeeper and small business owner for 6 years, since opening JLR Business Solutions in February 2020. She is experienced in providing bookkeeping services for small businesses, non-profits, and personal accounts.
Judi has always been about the numbers. All through high school, Judi took courses in business and finance. She loved bookkeeping and accounting and was intrigued by doing the company packet simulator by hand. For her, it was one big number puzzle that had no balance.
Later in life, Judi earned her Associates Degree in Arts of Accounting, and began maintaining books for two local churches and a retail store.
Judi’s passion is helping business owners and nonprofit leaders succeed, and she understands the challenges and determination that often accompany this kind of work. With her knowledge, experience, and understanding, she is ready to manage your books so you can devote more of your efforts to running your organization.
Samantha Robbins
While many people see bookkeeping as a chore, Samantha sees it as comfort food. Samantha loves bringing order to financial records, balancing accounts, and helping business owners gain a clear understanding of their finances so they can focus on growing their business with confidence.
Her love of bookkeeping began during college, where her accounting courses quickly became some of her favorites. She graduated from Seton Hill University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature. She then went on to earn her Master of Arts in Teaching Foreign Language from the University of Pittsburgh.
One of the things Samantha enjoys most about bookkeeping is that it functions as a system, much like Spanish grammar. Every transaction has a place, every account tells part of a story, and when everything is recorded correctly, it simply makes sense. Spanish grammar and verb conjugations follow patterns that fit together to create meaningful conversations; bookkeeping relies on consistent rules and relationships to create an accurate picture of a business’s financial health.
Today, Samantha combines her education in accounting, her background in foreign language education, and her growing knowledge of QuickBooks to provide accuracy, reliability, and personalized service to each and every one of her clients.
